ATI Maternal Newborn Adaptive Quiz Reflection

During the Maternity adaptive quiz, I think that it went well overall. I was able to narrow down what I was doing well while taking the quiz and what I needed to work on. To start, I think that I need to work on reading the questions thoroughly and reading all of the answers. I need to make sure that I understand what the questions are asking and that I don’t overlook key words. I did this multiple times during the quiz and it made me choose the incorrect answers, even though I knew what the answer would have been if I had read the questions or answers correctly. By doing this I will take more time on the questions and I won’t rush to get to the next question. This leads me into what I did well. I believe that I took more time on each question than I did during the previous ATI exam which was good. I was also able to use more of my clinical reasoning skills to help narrow down what the answer would be if I wasn’t certain what the answer was.

Taking the experience from this ATI adaptive quiz into the next one, I will be able to slow myself down, read the question thoroughly, read all the answers, and identify the key words in each question or answer. This will help me analyze the questions and answers more critically and will help me determine the right answer better than the previous exams.
